LOST LANTERN - Shadow
We are huge fans of Lost Lantern here at DRINQY. They have proven time and again to be a ground-breaking US independent bottler that has its finger on the pulse of where great whiskey is bubbling up here in the United States. We are proud to carry their entire line of products in conjunction with our partnership with Drammers Club.
From the Company:
A Blend of Peated American Single Malts from Colorado, Iowa and Oregon
Imagine sitting in front of a fireplace on a cold evening. The sun gives way to a dark and moonless night. Even the smoldering embers of your fire have gone out, but the rich aromas of the smoke still hang in the air. That is the essence that SHADOW seeks to conjure.
This is a blend of peated American single malts that together evoke the shadowy depths. It includes peated single malts from Iowa, Colorado, and Oregon. It has rich oak flavor, deep smoke, and notes of roasted blackberries and plums.
Blends of peated single malts have existed in Scotland for hundreds of years, and have taken many different forms and showcased many different flavor profiles over the years. But until recently, peated single malts were never made in the United States. That has changed: there are now wonderful peated malts coming from across the country.
And that means it’s high time to explore what blending those different smoky flavors together looks like. SHADOW is an exploration of American smoke, from three distinct corners of the country. It is the first of its kind.
Smoked whiskies take many forms. This one is SHADOW WREATHED IN SMOKE.
