Raasay’s whisky is made up of 6 component cask types. peated and unpeated rye casks, peated and unpeated Chinkapin oak casks, and peated and unpeated ex-Bordeaux red wine casks. Raasay has released just one single cask of each of the component parts for the entire United States, so 200ish bottles of each, and we are fortunate to be able to say that we were able to get some in.

Single Malt Scotch, New Special Release for 2024

From the Distillery: Stained red on the outside, these high quality ex-Bordeaux red wine casks are delivered fresh to the island from a château in South West France. In the first few moths of maturation, our spirit develops a pink hue in these casks (which turns into a deeper, darker red).

Bold flavors and fruity notes develop in the spirit including dried fruits, sultana, grape, Christmas cake, & bread pudding.
