From the Brand: Dru is a cask strength expression from Indri, where selected ex-bourbon barrels are handpicked and married together by our master blender to offer you an experience that will awaken your senses. In Sanskrit, ‘Dru’ means wood, tree or a vessel made of wood. In ancient Indian mythology, Dru was a vessel in which ‘soma’ (a drink) was collected and offered to the Gods.

Distilled at the Piccadily Distilleries, Indri features a very different profile than the early Indian single malt brands Amrut and Paul John Whisky. This single malt artfully blends single malt matured in three types of casks: first fill bourbon, ex-French wine and PX sherry casks (another Indian single malt, Kamet, also distilled at Piccadily, features a similar approach). It’s an extraordinary flavor at an excellent price point.
