A 16-year-old Single Blended Rum as part of its Exceptional Cask Selection program — a series of releases that the Barbados rum brand refers to as “one-of-a-kind” releases that Master Blender Richard Seale only chooses when he finds casks of “exceptional quality.”

This is a single blended rum (meaning it was all distilled at a single distillery).

The components for this expression were all distilled in either a Double-Retort Pot Still or a Continuous Twin Column Coffey Still. Two of the three components that went into this rum were double-matured. The first component spent three years in ex-bourbon casks and then 13 years in ex-oloroso sherry barrels. The second component spent nine years in ex-bourbon casks and seven years in ex-oloroso sherry. The final component was matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks for 16 years.
