23yo Blended Malt (Springbank with a Teaspoon of Glen Scotia)

A note from Drammers Club: Our new Drammers Pick is pretty darn exciting. A 23yo single cask Springbank, and a fresh sherry hogshead at that. Distilled on 22 November 1996, aged in cask #288/304/302/305/49-1, and bottled on 16 July 2020 at 48.8% abv (700ml). This was bottled by one of our members who sourced the cask from an individual who purchased the cask from Springbank (back when they were selling casks for a song in the mid 90s.... Oh those were the days) Imported when the US was imposing a 25% tariff on single malt scotch, the cask was teaspooned with a few ml of 27 YO Glen Scotia, making it technically a blended malt. We think it tastes amazing, and if you like big sherried Springbank bottlings, we think you'll agree.
