A note from Drammers Club: We selected this barrel during our November 2020 event with the Highland Park team, and the full recording of that process is available here at Drammers.com under the Video Library. This was one of three special single cask releases, which the distillery called Cask of the Sea, Cask of the Earth, and Cask of the Forest. We ended up selecting Cask of the Forest (our friends at Vine and Table in Indianapolis selected the Cask of the Sea, which is also excellent!). But we particularly liked this one, as you’ll see in the recording with our decision making process. In full disclosure, unlike most barrel selections we do where we exclusively take the entire cask, here (since it was a larger cask, yielding 580 bottles, which was a little more than we needed).
